Thank you to all of our students, 27 in all, who chose to perform in our Holiday Recital which was held on December 1, 2017 at Tremont Avenue School in Medford, NY. You all did a great job and brought joyful holiday feelings to everyone present!!!
Our student performers ranged in age from Kindergartners to High School Seniors. With so much going on this time of year we were excited that so many of them wanted to participate!
Our young people spent the fall preparing their pieces and the concert turned out beautifully! They performed many traditional and popular holiday selections on a variety of instruments including piano, guitar, violin, flute, saxophone and drums, along with works by Scott Joplin, Charles Strouse, Jose Feliciano, Simon and Garfunkel, Lennon and McCartney, Frank Loesser, J.S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven.
We were really thrilled with the number of students who wished to share their talent this year! There were so many friends and family in attendance that we needed to ask that more chairs be put out… twice! Our last count was over 125 friends and family for this event!
