This post is a thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me on my path. SHINE! Stories to Inspire You to Dream Big, Fear Less & Blaze Your Own Trail has reached the top of the charts in three countries and in multiple categories. As of this writing, it is still climbing in other markets. Yes, I know that sounded very business-like. I am business-like. I’ve had great success in business and I am proud of that.

I am very proud of the decision to submit a story for publication in SHINE! It was a big step.  When I first joined the project, I mentioned to a friend that I needed to choose a moment of change and transformation and was stuck on what that could be. He gave me the analogy of Aladdin’s Lamp and asked me to think of times when I had been polished and shined through circumstance, similar to raw carbon being compressed into a diamond over time. Still, I was at a loss. Yes, I’d had pivotal moments, but SHINE!, that was something else altogether. Still, it gave me a starting point.

A week or so later, I mentioned it to another long time friend and her immediate response was, “Oh gosh, how are you going to pick just one, you have so many?” To this, I laughed, and agreed, “Yes, I have had many. How to choose just one?” better yet, how to choose one that really contained the message of SHINE! as Dream Big, Fear Less and Blaze Your Own Trail.

I discussed a few moments that were possibilities and then made a list of the most profound. Being a stage performer, SHINE! resonates with stepping into the spot light and claiming, or in my case reclaiming, your innate gifts. I settled on a life changing moment that was a major crossroads of my life and very much the reason why I do the work I do today.

My work is not just voice work as it’s called in musical circles. It is physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It includes voice science and proven professional voice technique but in reality is so much more. My view of the voice is as an extension of, and healing agent for, the whole person, each client’s individual needs and life experiences play a part in how they relate to their voice be it for music, personal communication or professional speaking or marketing.

Crystals, Reiki, Tarot and other Oracles, mixed with Astrology, Dance, the Seasons of the Year, the Cycles of the Moon, time honored Voice Work and Musical Correspondences are what make The Magic of Voice Alchemy unique and effective. This process of unveiling and connecting the inner and outer voice are a direct result of the pivotal moment around which my SHINE! story is based. Traditional medicine said I was finished. My “heart and soul” knew otherwise. 

With tremendous gratitude and love for all who stood with me at my original SHINE! crossroads, especially my family, for my friend, Joy, whose question set me on this road, and for all that I have met and been blessed to know because of that gate passage, I see you, I honor you, and I thank you.
